ADVOCATE-TESTED RECIPE

French Onion Chicken

Serves 4 to 6. Recipe is by Julie Kay.

2 lbs. chicken thighs

1 (10.5-oz.) can French onion soup

1 (10.5-oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup

1 onion, sliced

2 pods garlic, minced

2 cups baby carrots

3 small white potatoes, cut in half

1 cup French-fried onion rings

1. Put chicken into slow cooker. Add soups, onion, garlic, carrots and potatoes. Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

3. Remove to serving dish, using slotted spoon, and sprinkle with French onion rings, reserving gravy to serve over potatoes and chicken, as needed.
