DETAILS: Capital Area United Way has opened the application process for sub-grantees in the Corporation for National and Community Service’s Social Innovation Fund, a federal grant used to improve the lives of people by increasing the impact and scale of evidence-based approaches. CAUW got a SIF in September to support its 10-year early childhood development initiative and is looking for eligible and qualified nonprofit organizations to replicate or expand early childhood development programs for low-income families in the 10-parish capital area.
