- Benefit for Walker High Band: 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wildcat Stadium, Walker High School, 12646 Burgess Ave., Walker. The Walker High Band of Legacy will host a fundraiser with food trucks, music from Disfunktional Bone, inflatables, face-painting, balloon animals, a drawing for prizes and more. It will end with a special performance by the WHS cheerleaders, the color guard, the drumline and the Band of Legacy. The food trucks will donate 10 percent of their profits to the fundraiser. Tickets for the drawing are $5 each, but admission is free. Proceeds will be used to purchase more uniforms and instruments for the band.
- Livingston Parish Veterans Association Meeting: 6 p.m., Walker Town Hall, 10136 Florida Blvd. The Livingston Parish Veterans Association meets the first and third Thursday of each month.

SATURDAY
- Benefit for Cynthia Hanna: 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friendship Community Benefit Center, corner of Walker North Road and Springfield Road. The center will sell jambalaya, pastalaya or spaghetti for $6 per plate to raise funds for Cynthia Hanna. For information, call (225) 921-5393.
- Holiday Book Bazaar: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Denham Springs-Walker Library Branch. The library will host its fourth annual Holiday Book Bazaar, which will feature local authors signing and selling copies of their works. The bazaar is designed to bring authors and readers together while patrons purchase books for holiday gifts. It will also give authors a chance to share their writing and publishing experiences. The library will offer coffee, cookies and free gift wrapping during the bazaar.
- Native American Heritage Program: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Livingston Library Branch. The library will have Native-American-inspired games and crafts to celebrate Native-American Heritage Month, which is November.
