Robért Fresh Market, in collaboration with Kona Fitness, is encouraging children ages 5 to 15 to put on their Halloween costumes and “get moving” by participating in the second annual Robért Kids Duathlon.
The Run-Bike-Run race kicks-off at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 28 and takes place along scenic Lakeshore Drive in New Orleans.
Proceeds from entry fees will benefit the Angels on Earth Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides free physical therapy and supporting services to children with physical and learning disabilities in need.
The Duathlon is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age division:
The registration fee is $30 and includes an official race T-Shirt, a participants medal and a Halloween goody bag. Bike helmets are required. To register, go online at http://robertfreshmarket.com or http://konafitnesscafe.com or stop by a Robért Fresh Market location.
