A Baton Rouge man accused of hitting his girlfriend and then stealing her car Monday has been arrested, according to an affidavit warrant.
Kevin Burton, 37, 5950 St. Gerard Ave., was arrested by Baton Rouge police Thursday and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts of carjacking, simple burglary and domestic abuse battery, booking records show.
According to the warrant, Burton struck his girlfriend and snatched her car keys away from her at an Exxon gas station at 4718 Plank Road on Monday.
A Las Vegas man accused of forcing his way into a woman’s house on Plank Road and stealing her purse at knife point in 2011 has been arrested, according to an affidavit warrant.
Glenn Walker, 20, 5541 West Cheyenne Ave., was booked Thursday on counts of armed robbery and being a fugitive from justice, parish prison records show.
According to the warrant, Walker knocked on the woman’s door on Aug. 8, 2011, and forced his way inside with a kitchen knife when she opened the door.
After stealing the woman’s purse, he ran off, according to the warrant.
Walker was an acquaintance of the victim, the warrant says.
A Baton Rouge firefighter accused of a sexual crime against a 4-year-old girl was arrested and booked into parish prison Thursday.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Dean Allen Duplechin, 7161 Point Avery Court, inappropriately touched the girl at a Baton Rouge residence. Barry Mounce, spokesman for the Baton Rouge Fire Department, confirmed Duplechin is employed as a fire equipment operator. He said Duplechin, who has been with the department since 2003, will be put on administrative leave pending results of an internal investigation.
Mounce said Duplechin could still face discipline from the fire department even if found not guilty.
Sheriff’s deputies booked an 18-year-old Baton Rouge man Friday on a count of having consensual sex with a 13-year-old.
A deputy dispatched to investigate a calls of a suspicious person saw a man identified as Sterling Kado leaving the juvenile’s house, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
The owner of the house drove up and told the deputy her 13-year-old daughter was the only person in the house. The girl originally told the deputy that Kado sexually assaulted her.
After a condom was found in her room, she changed her story and told the deputy they had consensual sex. The deputy booked Kado, 3066 Kimberly Drive, on one count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
A Baton Rouge man was arrested and booked into parish prison on a count of obscenity Thursday.
A neighbor reported seeing Antowine Ellis, 34, 110 Gatebriar Ave., exposing and touching himself outside in public view while the neighbor was cleaning her car, according to an affidavit of probable cause. She told a sheriff’s deputy that her parents, who lived nearby, had seen him doing the same thing on multiple occasions, the affidavit says.
Ellis said he was easing pain in that area of his body due to an old gunshot injury, according to the affidavit.
Baton Rouge police are looking for two men who stole a 20-year-old woman’s car as she was getting out of it on Steele Boulevard.
The incident occurred just after 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Steele, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said.
The woman told authorities she was approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a gun, as she was getting out of her car, McKneely said. The men demanded that she give them the keys to her car, McKneely.
The woman complied and the men tried to drive off but crashed the vehicle into a nearby ditch while making a U-turn, he said.
The man with the gun fired a bullet into the air while running off, McKneely said.

Baton Rouge police arrested and booked a 40-year-old man Friday on counts of kidnapping, rape and domestic abuse against an ex-girlfriend over a four-month span, according affidavits of probable cause.
Kareen Plain, 30600 La. 16, Denham Springs, allegedly broke multiple times into an apartment he once shared with the victim and forcibly raped her twice, the affidavits state.
On Friday, he forced her into his car and struck her multiple times, one of the affidavits said. She grabbed the steering wheel, causing the car to crash, disabling it, the affidavit says. Police who were contacted saw Plain dragging her through an open parking area into an overgrown lot, the affidavit says.
Plain was booked on two counts of forcible rape, and one count each of second-degree kidnapping, false imprisonment, aggravated burglary, second-degree battery, domestic abuse battery, remaining after forbidden and misdemeanor theft, according to booking records.
Authorities arrested at least two people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday, booking records show.
