I don’t think I am alone in my love for candy apples, but they are not easy to eat. That being said, candy or caramel apples are always popular at Halloween and other fall festivities.
Make eating the apples practical, as well as delicious, by cutting them into easy-to-eat quarters or slices.
Make the caramel sauce in the slow cooker. It doesn’t take long. For a little different flavor, throw in some coconut.
Now, as for the practical, instead of trying to bite into a whole apple, use an apple-cutting gadget, one that cores the apple and sections it into slices. Coat the apple pieces with cooked caramel sauce and serve them with decorative toothpicks.
Sprinkle candy corn around the apple pieces for garnish. It’s a taste that will be popular with everyone.
