PRAIRIEVILLE — Deputies arrested a Prairieville man Tuesday after they allegedly found child pornography on his computer, Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley said in a news release.
Robert Mark Hayes, 40, of 17306 E. Autumn Drive, was booked on two counts of child pornography after an investigation of his computer stemming from an earlier arrest in June.
Hayes was booked on two counts of stalking in June after deputies received a complaint that he was driving his white truck around a Prairieville neighborhood trying to start conversations with young girls, the news release states.
Deputies learned that Hayes had been in the neighborhood on several occasions, acting suspiciously and also attempting to speak with girls. Following his first arrest, deputies seized his home computer to search for potential child pornography, which led to his second arrest, Wiley said.
Hayes was released from jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond, Wiley said.
