At Livingston Parish Fair, there’s something for all

The 75th annual Livingston Parish Fair begins at 10 a.m. Saturday with a parade, followed by a Veterans Cookoff at 11 a.m. and preregistration for all pageant participants from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The schedule for Fair week includes:

SUNDAY

• Preschool (Green Barn)
• Boys and Girls 0-4 years
• BOYS: 0-4 years, registration from 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.; competition at 1:30 p.m.
• GIRLS: 0-5 months and 6-11 months, registration from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.; competition at 3 p.m.
• GIRLS: 12 months to 23 months, registration from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.; competition at 4 p.m.
• GIRLS: 2 to 4 years, registration from 4:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.; competition at 5 p.m.

TUESDAY

• Midway opens for Family Night. Participants pay $15 to ride from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• 8 A.M. TO 5 P.M.: Agriculture, homemaking and floral exhibits (all in school exhibit building).
• 9 A.M. TO 5 P.M.: Poultry and rabbits.
• 9 A.M. TO 6 P.M.: Prepare commercial exhibits.
• 4 P.M.: Ribbon-cutting celebrating 75 years.
• 6 P.M. TO 9 P.M.: 90 Degrees West on concert main stage.
• 7 P.M.: Spelling bee.
• 8 P.M.: Fireworks.

WEDNESDAY

• PARTICIPANTS CAN PAY $20 TO RIDE FROM 4 P.M. TO 11 P.M.
• Register Exhibits
• FROM 10 A.M. TO NOON, THE LIVINGSTON PARISH FAIR WELCOMES STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.
• 1 P.M. TO 5 P.M.: Register exhibits — swine, goats, dairy, 4-H and beef — at the Livestock Pavillion.
• 5:30 p.m.: Talent show check-in for all ages; competition to follow.
• 6:30 p.m.: Round Pen of Life Horse Trainer.
• 8 P.M.: Lanier Pulling Team Exhibition.

THURSDAY

• PARTICIPANTS CAN PAY $20 TO RIDE FROM 4 P.M. TO 11 P.M.
• 9 A.M. TO 2 P.M.: Field trip day, kindergarten through 12th grades.
• 9 A.M.:- Judging of exhibits — floral, homemaking, crops, poultry, 4-H and school exhibits.
• 12:30 p.m.: Judging of rabbits only.
• 5 P.M.: Academic Fun Bowl in the gym for youth in grades six through eight.
• 6 P.M. TO 6:15 p.m.: Beauty pageant registration: Petite and Tiny at the Green Barn, ages 5-6 and 7-8.
• 6:30 p.m.: Pageant begins, Petite and Tiny.
• 6:30 p.m. TO 6:45 p.m.: Registration for Little and Deb Miss at the Green Barn for ages 9-10 and 11-12.
• 7 P.M.: Pageant begins, Little and Deb Miss.
• 8 P.M.: PCA Rodeo Sponsored by RAM Rodeo.
• 8 P.M.: Concert, main stage, Lauren Alaina.
