A Texas man died Monday morning when he drove
his truck and a travel trailer off an East Feliciana Parish road and struck several
trees, according to the State Police.
Richard Kennedy Jr., 25, of Austin, Texas, was killed just after midnight on La. 10 east of La. 961, according to a State Police news release.
Kennedy was driving a 1996 Chevrolet truck pulling a travel trailer east on La. 10 when, for unknown reasons, the truck veered off the left side of the road and struck the trees, State Police said.
Kennedy was not properly restrained, State Police
said.
Routine toxicology samples have been obtained and will submitted to the State Police Crime Lab for analysis, State Police said.
