ULL residence hall ribbon cutting Saturday

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration of its new residence halls and renovations to older halls at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The grand opening ceremony in the Rose Garden at Randolph Hall on Hebrard Boulevard will be followed by a ribbon cutting at the entrances of Coronna and Bonin halls.

Parking will be available in Martin Hall Circle.

Special guests are Janet Coronna Dardenne, the last surviving member of the Coronna family and mother of the lieutenant governor, former residence hall staff, current staff, students, faculty and administrators.

Students moved into the newly constructed Baker, Huger, Coronna and Bonin halls and the renovated Harris Hall in August. Randolph Hall, a former residence hall, will serve as a community center for the Rose Garden community with an exercise room, lounge and classrooms.
