ZACHARY — Police are seeking information on a theft of lawn equipment from a lawn-care company’s trailer while it was parked at the Wal-Mart store on Main Street, Police Chief David McDavid said Friday.
Surveillance photographs show a man wearing a white shirt, jeans and white shoes taking the equipment from the trailer parked behind the store about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, McDavid said.
Detective Ty Stephens said the thief’s truck appears to be an early-2000s model white Dodge extended-cab pickup.
The thief took a chain saw, edger, weed trimmer and blower from the trailer while it was parked behind the store. The lawn-care worker whose equipment was stolen was mowing grass elsewhere on the premises and left the rear door ramp open, Stephens said.
Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the Zachary Police Department at (225) 654-9393 or (225) 654-1905.
