Senior celebration observes 19 birthdays

Nineteen birthdays were celebrated during the monthly Senior Birthday and Bingo Party on Sept. 10 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3693 hall in Gonzales.

One anniversary was celebrated during the party.

The event was attended by 131 seniors and people with disabilities.

Six door prizes were awarded and 20 gifts were presented.

Celebrating their September wedding anniversary were John and Diana LeBlanc.

Celebrating birthdays were Charles Bishop, Elva Braud, Julius Braud, Lois Croom, Deborah Davidson, Evelyn Erin, Dee Dee Felps, Laurice Galland, Julie Gautreau, Lois Gore, Mary Gray, Vera Melancon, Myra Melanson, Mattie Mendoza, Julie Michel, Sidone Nichols, Mae Plaisance, Elmo Villar and Faye Weathers .

The next party will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 8 at the VFW hall on Churchpoint Road.
