Also, East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Kip Holden and Baton Rouge Police Chief Dewayne White will present Community Peace Awards to six volunteers. A reception will follow the concert in the Conference Center with Heirloom Cuisine as caterer. Donations made at the concert will go to the CHOICES stay-in-school program.

Christian comedy: 5:30 p.m., Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, 19421 Greenwell Springs Road, featuring Dennis Swanberg, a comedian and speaker who currently serves as a guest on “The Dennis Swanberg Radio Hour.” The The Men’s Ministry is sponsoring Tuesday’s events with games and activities at 5:30 p.m. in the gym followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and then Swanberg’s presentation. On Wednesday, Swanberg will perform for the whole church beginning at 6 p.m.
