Crespo show set

The LSU School of Art’s Alfred C. Glassell Jr. Exhibition Gallery in the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St., will show the exhibit Mysteries: Works by Michael Crespo from Saturday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Dec. 14. Creep Fest

Eisworth wins first

Kellye Eisworth’s photo, “My Father, Pensive,” won first place in the Minneapolis Photo Center’s national juried exhibit, The Human Condition: A Survey of Humanity, on Sept. 12, in Minneapolis, Minn. Eisworth earned her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from LSU. The exhibit opens on Saturday, Nov. 10, and runs through Jan. 4, 2013.

At Rosedown

The staff at Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site, 12501 La. 10, St. Francisville, will reenact the wake and funeral service of Daniel Turnbull, the plantation’s original owner and builder, at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. At 4 p.m., visitors are invited to take a “ghost” tour through the Plantation Main House as living history presenters portray the spirits of family members who have returned from their graves. Each of the “spirits” will speak about their former lives at Rosedown and share reminiscences from their pasts.
