Tell us about what you’re wearing.

“The blazer is an Adams-Row thrift find. I paired it with a simple white Calvin Klein oxford shirt and accented it with a dark-blue, corduroy bow tie and dark-blue, linen skinny pants.”

What’s the best fashion advice you’ve ever gotten?

“ ‘Everything you wear makes a statement about you. That being said, don’t wear anything that makes it look like no one ever told you.’ Not sure who told me that but it sounds like something my grandmother would say.”

What’s your favorite trend right now?

“Mustaches.”

Finish this sentence. I splurge on…

“Tank tops. I shouldn’t but I can’t stop.”

I skimp on…

“Socks. I can’t keep up with a decent pair anyway.”

Name a celebrity whose closet you’d like to raid.

“James Franco, he looks like he’s got a closet full of flannel.”

What’s the one beauty product you can’t live without?

“Gotta have hair clay. My hair has a mind of its own, but the clay allows for a nice compromise by giving me enough control while still giving it enough freedom.”

What was your worst fashion mistake?

“Ha, I once bought this accordion-style button-down (shirt) with a denim print from a store in New Orleans. My friends have always threatened to burn it if I wear it in public with them.”

Your house is on fire and you can grab only one thing out of your closet; what would it be?

“This T-shirt I bought from Genterie Supply Co. in Lafayette. The print is a play on the Colonial ‘Join or Die’ cartoon. Instead of a serpent, the sketch is of an alligator. From what I understand, they’re printed in limited quantities so I may not be able to replace it, and I do love showing Louisiana pride.”
