The Acadiana Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster meeting has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. Friday at the Diocese of Lafayette Immaculata Center, 1408 Carmel Drive.
The meeting was initially scheduled for Thursday. The change allows time for the Red Cross, governmental and other assist agency officials to develop a more accurate assessment of damage and recovery needs for the Acadiana region, according to a release from meeting organizers.
All AVOAD agencies and other voluntary organizations, churches and civic groups interested in assisting with post-disaster recovery activities should send one representative to this meeting. A brief report of available resources or needs may be asked of each agency representative.
