Senior Salute Spring 2012 was a congratulatory social event hosted by the Hammond Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

The event was held at Southeastern Louisiana University in the Student Union on May 3. The Nu Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta said farewell to five graduating seniors. These graduates received pearls of wisdom from sorors and a token of love from HAAC, organizers said.

The honorees also received information on how to transfer membership, how to access the Collegiate Transition Taskforce, Delta’s national website, and a listing of the local alumnae chapters in southeast Louisiana.

HAAC also presented an exam week gift basket to NuDelta. There were more than 30 members in attendance from the Nu Delta and HAAC Chapters, organizers said. The event closed with a Sweetheart Song serenade and a toast to future success.
