Both westbound lanes of Interstate 12 at the O’Neal Lane exit will be closed from 8 p.m. Saturday through 12:30 p.m. Sunday for concrete pouring, said a spokesman for the Department of Transportation and Development’s Geaux Wider initiative.
All lanes of O’Neal Lane underneath the overpass will be closed between those times as well, said spokesman Bill Grass.
The eastbound lanes of I-12 will remain open.
Traffic will be detoured off I-12 at the O’Neal exit and be directed back onto I-12, but to avoid congestion, Grass recommended westbound drivers
exit I-12 at Range Avenue in Denham Springs, take Florida Boulevard to Millerville Road back to I-12.
On O’Neal Lane, drivers can use Millerville Road via Old Hammond Highway or South Harrell’s Ferry Road, Grass said.
