In the mention of cost-of-living raises given to state retirees, I have only one thing to say: What raises? I retired in 2001 from the DOTD after 25 years’ service. I have not seen a cost-of-living raise. I clear, after taxes and insurance, $1,176.31 per month. Now it seems that dictator Bobby Jindal wants to take away part or all of that. Remember, legislators, retirees always vote.
