St. Tammany Humane Society will bring in puppies and dogs to help students who are dealing with stress before finals. The Humane Society will be providing five dogs for students to play with, cuddle or just hold under the breezeway of the library. Students are encouraged to interact with the animals as part of a stress relief method called dog therapy. All of the dogs are eligible for adoption.

--BUNKO FOR BASKETBALL: Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the Bunko games starting at 7 p.m., Southeastern Louisiana University's Twelve Oaks. A scholarship fundraiser for the SLU women's basketball program. Tickets are $35 per person in advance and $40 at the door for the adults-only event, which will feature hor d'oeuvres, drinks — including complimentary mint juleps - and silent and live auctions. During the event, PRIDE will draw the winning ticket for a Cali Classic 50 scooter, provided by Big Easy Scooters and Cycles of New Orleans. The scooter is donated by Michael and Denise Holly, of Hammond, and raffle tickets are $5. Bunko for Basketball and raffle tickets can be obtained from PRIDE members and on campus at the athletics ticket office, Room 107, Dugas Center for Southeastern Athletics, 800 Galloway Drive, and the Lady Lion Basketball office, Room 106, University Center, 800 W. --AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION HEALTH CARE PROVIDER CPR: (for medical professionals): 5 p.m., North Oaks Diagnostic Center. This American Heart Association class is for health-care providers. It provides a lecture on cardiovascular health and risk factors and demonstrations of American Heart Association basic life-support techniques for choking victims, rescue breathing and CPR for adults, children, and infants. Participants are introduced to and participate in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
