VOLUNTEERS NEEDED, Capital Area CASA — Emily Hebert, (225) 379-8598: Capital Area CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Association is a nonprofit organization that recruits and trains community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children.
The next training class begins Tuesday, June 5. Volunteers need to register and attend an orientation before training starts.

LOVE PLAYING BINGO? Affinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center — Tonnisha Ellis, (225) 387-5934 or tonnisha_ellis@yahoo.com: Volunteers are needed every weekend on Saturday and Sunday to call bingo with residents. The game usually lasts one hour. Times are flexible.

WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS? Hospice Compassus — Melissa Cothern, (225) 768-0866 or Melissa.Cothern@hospicecom.com: Hospice Compassus is seeking volunteers to help with events hosted in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
Activities may include bingo, crafts, manicures, birthday parties, scrapbooking, etc. This is a great opportunity for students to get their service hours.
Prospective volunteers are required to undergo a background check, provide their own transportation and to complete a free orientation process. Contact Cothern for more information.
HELP WITH RENOVATIONS, Habitat For Humanity — Kristen Lastrapes, (225) 927-6651, ext. 214, or Kristen@habitatbrla.org : Volunteers are needed to help with renovations of ReStore, located at 4301 Airline Highway, corner of Airline and Plank Road.
Help is needed Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Available shifts are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., 8 a.m. to noon and noon to 3 p.m. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED, HOPE Ministries — Ruth Admal, (225) 355-0702, ext. 33, or radmal@hopebr.org: Hope Ministries works to prevent homelessness and promote self-sufficiency and dignity. The organization has the only client-choice food pantry in the greater Baton Rouge area.
HOPE receives a large shipment of food on Thursday mornings from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and needs assistance unloading the truck, as well as stocking inventory and shelves in the food pantry. Available shifts are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and also Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon. If interested, contact Admal.
