In keeping with our year of celebrations, and with April being National Grilled Cheese Month, the Food staff is tailoring its annual presentation at The Advocate and WBRZ Channel 2’s Life After 50 Expo around one of the most delicious staples of modern kitchens — cheese.
Ever wondered how to get that perfect melty consistency on a grilled cheese? How about how to flip a crepe? Can you put cheese in a slow cooker and not end up with dip? We’ll answer all these questions and more.
Starting at 9 a.m., Mom on the Run columnist and Assistant Food Editor Beth Colvin, What a Crock! columnist Julie Kay, and Cooking 101’s Tracey Koch will talk about preparing traditional cheesy dishes such as sandwiches, crepes and macaroni and we’ll show you how to put a new spin on these favorites.
Come see us April 21 on the expo’s Main Stage at the Baton Rouge River Center Exposition Hall.
You’ll hear about new tools and trends, get free recipes and sample a few of our favorite cheesy dishes.
