Cajun country rice

Rice Cooker Cabbage

Serves 6. Recipe is from Cajun Country Rice.

1 lb. ground beef

1 cup uncooked rice

1 lb. sausage, cut in bite-sized pieces

1 small head of cabbage, chopped

1 medium bell pepper, chopped

1 clove of garlic

1 medium onion, chopped

1 bunch of green onions

1 can tomatoes with chilies

1 tsp. salt

Cajun/Creole seasoning to taste

2 cups water

1. Brown ground beef, seasoning to taste with Cajun/Creole seasoning.

2. Drain beef and add to a 10-cup rice cooker with all the other ingredients.

3. Turn cooker on. When it is finished, stir and leave on warm from one hour before serving.
