Makes 1 (9-inch) pie. Recipe is from Kraft Foods.
18 Oreo cookies, finely crushed (about 13/4 cups)
2 tbls. butter or margarine, melted
11/2 cups water, divided
1 (3-oz.) pkg. lime flavor gelatin
1/2 cup fresh mint
2 cups thawed whipped topping
1 square semisweet chocolate
1. Mix cookie crumbs and butter, then press onto the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
2. Bring 1 cup of water to boil, then add to dry gelatin mix and mint. Stir 2 minutes until gelatin is dissolved. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let stand 5 minutes. Stir in remaining water and pour throw a strainer into medium bowl, discarding mint leaves. Refrigerate gelatin 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
3. Add whipped topping to gelatin, whisking until well blended. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until the mixture will mound. Spoon into the crust. Melt chocolate as directed on package and drizzle over the pie. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
