Baton Rouge police arrested a 25-year-old woman Monday accused of trying to run over a man with her car after he told her she could no longer stay with him.
The victim told police Christina Blanchard had been living with him for about a month, but he told her Sunday she had to leave, the affidavit of probable cause says.
They met at 5 p.m. Monday in the apartment complex parking lot for Blanchard to turn over her key, the affidavit says. When she got in her car to leave, she sped out of the lot and hit the victim, who was standing a few feet from the vehicle.
The victim sustained minor injuries, the affidavit says.
Blanchard, 12727 Coursey Blvd., Apt. 1079, was booked into Parish Prison on a count of aggravated second-degree battery.
Authorities arrested at least three people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, booking records show.
