Walking into the River Center Jan. 5 to take photos of Le Cercle de Bacchus debs, I found a pair of long white leather gloves — the kind the debs wear during their presentation — laying on the sidewalk. It had just started to rain, and I knew that in a few short minutes, as these girls were called down for their formal photographs, one of them was going to go into total panic mode when she realized her gloves were missing.
So glad I found them; I felt kind of like a fairy godmother at the moment. Goodness knows the 16 debs looked like princesses in their beautiful white dresses.
Introduced to the several hundred guests by former Bacchus President Stephen Toups, who served as master of ceremonies for the presentation, were Mallory Elizabeth Botts, daughter of Bonny and Hunter Botts, escorted by Robert DeAngelo; Caroline Grace Bourg, daughter of Malea Breaux and Brad Bourg, escorted by Michael LeBlanc; Elly Kathryn Bringaze, daughter of Dr. Lisa Perez and Dr. Walter Bringaze III, escorted by Dr. George Karam; Elizabeth Lancaster Dunlap, daughter of Michelle Dunlap and John B. Dunlap III, escorted by John D’Angelo; Jenaé Marie Dykes, daughter of Sandra Dykes and Paul Dykes, escorted by Scotty Chabert Jr.; Rebecca Ann Espey, daughter of Kelli and Michael Firmin, of Baton Rouge, and Kevin Espey, of Gonzales, escorted by Mark Willard; Sidney Ann Fucich, daughter of Judy and Mark Fucich, escorted by Michael Kuhn; and Alaina Brooke Leggette, daughter of Cathy and Richard Leggette, escorted by Christopher Cuntz.
Also, Kalyn Taylor Lindsly, daughter of Rhonda and Calvin Lindsly, escorted by Joseph Wilson; Mary Catherine Miller, daughter of Marcie and Don Miller, escorted by Lewis Miller; Hannah Padial, daughter of Andreé and Martin Padial, escorted by Matthew Valiollahil; Paige Lauren Pennington, daughter of Sharon and Claude Pennington III, escorted by Richard Picou Jr.; Megan Catherine St. Germain, daughter of Lori and Bryan St. Germain, escorted by Richard Allen; Brooke Sullivan, daughter of Cindy and Troy Sullivan, escorted by Gerald Pederson; Hope Marie Wilson, daughter of Anne Bynum, of Baton Rouge, and Stan Wilson, of Virginia, escorted by Brad Watts; and Mallory Young, daughter of Patrick and Gretchen Young, escorted by Andrew Bernard.
