The West Baton Rouge Museum will host a lecture at noon Wednesday, featuring Donna Bouterie and Jean Hebert, two local collectors.
The program, “Depression Glass Show-and-Tell,” will be filled with many examples of commercially made glass from the late 1800s to the early 1930s.
Bouterie and Hebert have arranged for a glassware door prize and five complimentary tickets to a March glass show.
Appraisals will not be made at the event.

Port Allen City Councilwoman Ray Helen Lawrence was recently awarded three medals of achievement from the National League of Cities for completing key health and wellness goals for “Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties.”
“Let’s Move!” is a major component of first lady Michelle Obama’s comprehensive initiative dedicated to solving the childhood obesity epidemic.
The NLC recognized Lawrence, and her son Kevin, for their dedication and work with Port Allen’s health screening, local health fair, breast cancer awareness march and a healthy food program at Shiloh Baptist Church.
Lawrence was recognized at the Dec. 5 City Council committee meetings.
Brusly invites the public to attend its Arbor Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Wednesday when live oaks will be planted on town property behind the Lions Den.
The ceremony is part of Brusly’s annual recertification to be named “Tree City USA.”
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place inside Town Hall.
Refreshments will be served.
Reflections of the Season
The light display, “Reflections of the Season,” is open on the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Tourist Information and Conference Center from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
Fridays and Saturdays, attendees may enjoy outdoor activities such as wagon rides, ice fishing and a snow patch.
Inside the tourism center, there will be crafts, entertainment, special food vendors offering holiday delicacies and, of course, Santa Claus and his elves.
The display will be open until Christmas Eve.
