Veterans Day observances scheduled
The West Baton Rouge Museum and the West Baton Rouge Parish Library will co-host a book club meeting Wednesday to accompany a National Endowment for the Humanities traveling exhibit, “Our Lives, Our Stories: America’s Greatest Generation.”
The book club will meet from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the museum.
Members, led by moderator Paul Paskoff, will read Tom Brokaw’s “The Greatest Generation.”

The public is invited to attend the Iberville Salute to Veterans event Sunday.
The event is scheduled to take place from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Iberville Veterans Memorial on Railroad Avenue in Plaquemine.
The celebration will feature bagpipers, a Coast Guard helicopter flyover, the Iberville Wall of Veterans photo display and a special ascending patriotic light show.
Brusly will host its annual Veterans Day program and reception at noon Sunday at Town Hall.
Veterans are especially invited to attend. The event is free and open to the public.

Plaquemine’s Main Street Program is inviting the public to its Third annual Fiber Art Festival on Friday and Saturday in Plaquemine.
On Friday, the festival will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. On Saturday, the festival will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park.
The public may sign up for educational classes in cross-stitch, jewelry, quilting embroidery, rug hooking, spinning, weaving and more.
