Pass the salsa Top Tortilla Torte your own way
This Tortilla Torte is easy to make and fun to serve. Present the basic torte hot from the oven and pass the salsa, green onion-flavored sour cream and guacamole. Each person slices off a wedge and tops it with his or her choice of accompaniments.
Large (10-inch) flour tortillas are layered with taco-flavored ground beef, black beans, whole kernel corn, sliced olives and cheese.
I used a 10-inch springform pan to layer and bake the torte in. Use the bottom metal base from the springform pan as a guide to cut the tortillas to fit the pan. When heated, simply unlatch and place the torte, still on the removable base, on a board or serving platter. If you don’t have a springform pan, just use a greased shallow baking pan or if you use smaller 8-inch tortillas, you can heat them in a pie pan.
You can add whatever extras you like to the meat or the bean layers.
